Hahnville High School

Hahnville High School special education students accompanied by teachers Imelda Aucoin and Jasper Vinnett  visited the Norco Adult Day Care Center on October 27th to celebrate fall birthdays and Halloween.  In preparation for the visit, students worked on their shopping and communication skills.  The students brought birthday cards they created for clients of the Center who had birthdays in August, September, and October.   Students designed Halloween cards and brought candy-filled Trick or Treat bags along with cupcakes.  At the end of the visit the students and clients, used colorful orange and black streamers, and sang the Hookey Spookey – “put your orange hand in, put your orange hand out, etc.”  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit and we are looking forward to interacting with our new friends again in November.
